It was ton of work to bring this project to a fruition, but worth all the efforts. I am proud to say that my cookbook truly honors the complexity and simplicity of El Salvador’s home cooking.
El Salvador, Sabores Deliciosos, has been nominated for a Gourmand Award, in the translation category. In May, I will travel to Yantai to represent El Salvador in this prestigious event.
I am not one to share all the trials and tribulations I have experienced taking on the responsibility to write, edit the translation, edit the final version and publish it, but you know what? I would do it all over again. I feel at peace knowing that El Salvador’s culinary patrimony will be passed on to the next generations.
