Delicious El Salvador, winner of the Gourmand award, Best In The World First Cookbook.

I grew up in Santa Ana, El Salvador, and have lived in Los Angeles since 1986. I graduated from UCLA in 1992. I am married to Joseph Maher, an attorney, he is half Syrian and half Irish. We are the parents of three wonderful sons. I wrote Delicious El Salvador to leave a legacy for the next generations, to celebrate authentic Salvadoran home recipes, and to fill a cultural void for the millions of Salvadorans living in the USA and the world. I learned to cook from my grandmother, mother, aunts and friends. I am known as El Salvador's culinary ambassador! Salvadoran food is my passion!
